We stopped for a pint at The Queen Inn on a sunny Sunday afternoon in August. We received a very warm welcome from the bar team and ordered our drinks - which we found were very reasonably priced. They also produce a range of their own beers, and it’s nice to see the equipment as you enter.
The pub has an abundance of outdoor spaces, as well as some undercover outdoor seating too. It’s a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. We didn’t eat but the food menu sounded great, and I’ll certainly be back to try it myself soon!
First time I’ve been there. The place is amazing. Very nice atmosphere. Staff are very friendly. Ive ordered the buttered fish. Unfortunately it was too greasy for me so i only had a bite but the waitress kindly asked me if i wanted something else and removed it from the bill. Fries and the tartare sauce was nice tho. My friends had the smoked chicken sandwich they said it was okay but nothing interesting and they didnt taste any smokiness. Hopefully we’ll have a better experience next time.
Greene King pub, oh the beer will be rubbish you think, but no! The Queen Inn brews their own and they have an array of first rate guests on as well. Lunchtime sandwiches were also awesome with killer chips! Would go out of my way to get back to this pub without a doubt.
Lovely pub with it's own microbrewery.
Friendly staff who were able to accommodate us last minute for dining despite having packed restaurant for Christmas party. We sat outside in the beer garden warmed by the heater which was very nice
Food was tasty, brought out quickly and nicely presented.
Their own pale ale was delicious.
Looking forward to trying other beers another time.
Really lovely pub off the beaten track a little but close enough to Winchester centre for it to be walkable. Lovely atmosphere and good selection of beer. Great garden, well equipped to deal with british weather with a marquee and heat lamps.
Love the QueenInn never fails to deliver. Excellent haddock beautifully crispy batter. Perfectly cooked fish!
We have been there many times, and usually service and food were great. Not today: we wanted lunch and when we asked if we could have the only indoor table that was not fully occupied - three workmen had spread out over two tables with their drinks - we were told "they can do what they like" by a member of staff. Needless to say we left. Never again.
Microbrewery and great food, what more do you need?! The burger was fantastic! (Ignore the old review, the newer one and mine are correct - maybe they got a new burger chef!).
